If you you fall fowl of the the 9 to 5 grind, and find your creative juices waning, then you need to figure out a way you can keep your creative juices flowing, and fast!. The best way to do this is to have a plan, then follow through with your plan - every day. In this article, I will give you a five step success plan that will keep your creative juices revved to over flowing. Make the time: If you can't find half an hour every day that could be put towards imagination, then you're not trying hard enough. Even just time spent commuting could be time spent constructively day-dreaming. And when you're doing chores it's a great time to let your mind wander. Even if it may only be 10 minutes, have your mind just go through ideas. Try using a voice recorder instead of writing; this usually helps you throw more wild questions out that incite you to dig deep. Carry 3x5 card around with you: Sadly, ideas don't always come when we want them to, they come when you least expect it; when you're shopping, walking the dog or watering the flowers. So always carry a 3x5 card with you, and a small pencil. Then write down those bolts of genius when they appear, then take those ideas into work with you, and use them! Get up earlier for creative thinking time: Just as the last minutes before you go to sleep can be creative moments, it is said that our mind is at it's freshest and most creative in the mornings. So why not get into the habit of getting up that little bit earlier, and let your mind run wild with creative ideas. Ask yourself crazy questions: Sometimes the limitations of reality are what box in creative juices. If you take a second to ask yourself what would happen after that barrier has been broken, that challenge overcome, and that limitation exceeded, then you can really think with absolute freedom. Always consider what's going to happen two or three steps from now, and assume the impossible. Define your USP: Make sure your businesses USP is stated in a clear and brief manner. Even if you may have great ideas, it may not address the USP if it's unclear and ambiguous. If it's clear, then your idea will stand out for all to see.
