Choosing an article submission site can be a big decision. If you choose the wrong one it can cost you a lot of money or worse yet, a lot of wasted money.

Do you want to submit a bunch of articles a month or are you looking to submit just a couple of them?

If you know that you are only looking to send out a few articles a month then an article submission site that charges you per article would not be a bad idea. However, that would get very expensive if you want to submit a lot of articles every month.

If you want to send a lot of articles out on a regular basis (this will give you the most traffic) then you should go with one that has a flat rate monthly fee that allows you to send out as many articles as you want.

Is your goal to get listed in the search engines?

If your aiming to rank high in the search engines then you need an article submission site that sends out your articles with unique content. You should avoid duplicate content so your articles do not get penalized.

While most submission services use keyword spinning that is not recommended if you want to have unique content submitted. Keyword spinning changes keywords in the articles to provide different articles. The problem with this is that the article is only about 30% original and they don't always come out well written.

When trying to get organic traffic it is important to use unique content so you need to use a article submission site that provides that.

Does the article submission site allow you different resources boxes for all of your articles?

Having the ability to use different resource boxes for your articles allows the links to count more. This provides you with better rankings and more traffic.

Can you submit the articles over a long time frame?

Being able to spread the submissions out over a period of time has two benefits. The first is that to the search engines this is a more natural progression of links and it allows you to get a steady flow of traffic to your site.
