Bum Marketing is a variation of article marketing that focuses on you earning money online from the commissions of affiliate products, sales of your own products, AdSense ads, etc. rather than merely using articles to generate traffic and to establish your credentials.

Basic Steps to Bum Marketing:
  1. Find low competition niche market with reasonable search engine traffic.
  2. Find an affiliate program that pays a decent commission appropriate to that market.
  3. Research and find low competition keyword phrases, "long-tail" keywords, to write articles about.
  4. Write a series of articles focusing on the long-tail keywords.
  5. Submit your articles to popular article directories so they get index and listed by Google and the other major search engines.
  6. Earn affiliate commissions, get opt-in signups and make money from selling your own products or earn AdSense revenue. 
  7. Repeat the process for other niche markets or other long-tail keywords
